OUR GOAL

MYWORLD Film Grants provides:

Funding between $30k-$60K per short film.

Hands-on mentorship from a network of leading talent and world-renowned specialists.

Support and guidance throughout.

MYWORLD believes in the power of storytelling to inspire change and aims to empower emerging filmmakers to create short films about the environment and nature where you are. To share your world with local and international audiences.

Our initiative highlights diverse, unheard, authentic voices on planetary issues.

DISTRIBUTION AND OUTREACH

DISTRIBUTION PATHWAYS

Every film will be shared here, non-exclusively on the MYWORLD Film Grant website, linking to Schoolyard's distribution platform and the websites of the principal partners - for free access globally.

EDUCATIONAL OUTREACH & STUDY GUIDES

We complement each film with study guides crafted for educational use in both the USA and the filmmaker's home nation. These study tools are freely accessible, and are invaluable tools for teachers to foster discussion, encouraging deeper insight into the stories and issues presented in your films.

LANGUAGE AND CULTURE

We’re committed to creating films in the first language of our film grant winners. The films can also be subtitled into major international languages. Languages hold the key to culture and connection to nature, MYWORLD Film Grants aims to celebrate and amplify our filmmakers’ languages.

FILMMAKER SUPPORT

We help support our grant alumni to develop their careers internationally and locally. MYWORLD Film Grants is on hand throughout the creation of our grant films and long after; from connecting alumni with our extensive network to helping develop impact campaigns for the films, and beyond. MYWORLD Film Grants is all about creating opportunities for home-grown documentary talent.
